Teacher Asked High School Students To Write A Suicide Note While Studying Shakespeare, Parents Protest

In one of the hottest Shakespeare’s plays, Lady Macbeth kills himself after feeling so much guilt over the murder of King Duncan.

According to the report, the children weren’t comfortable with the college project. In all, more than 60 students wrote a suicide watch for your own project. The instructor has since apologized, claiming she did not realize it was in bad taste.

One mother talked out about the class project and the way it changed her daughter. She explained that her daughter had had a buddy who’ve killed themselves, so composing the suicide note was challenging for her. She continued saying that she doesn’t understand the way the teacher believed it’d be a great idea to force high school students to write a suicide note.

Another parent stated that the instructor might need to return to training because the faculty job wasn’t age- appropriate.

The faculty job ended following a group of student and parents protested before the pupil faculty in South East London. At least 13 students participated in the demonstration.

“I can’t imagine why a place of schooling would do something so insensitive, especially as youth and adolescent depression and anxiety is at an all-time high at the moment.”

The other parent added that it’s perfectly suitable for the students to learn about Shakespeare plays, however also writing a suicide note moved too far.

In a time that adolescent depression and anxiety is at an all-time high, this college job could be considered insensitive.

The college instructor, Carolyn Roberts, has apologized to the mission and promised the parents of this school which the project would not be handed out again.

The faculty took swift action following a couple of parents complained about the mission and issued a sincere apology to the insensitive job. The faculty added that the instructor did not consider how the job could influence those pupils that had been personally affected by suicide.
